What You Will Submit
The nomination form is straightforward. If you are nominated by someone else, you will still need to complete a self-nomination form for your candidacy to move forward.
You will be asked to provide:
- Basic contact information for the nominee
- The position they are seeking
- A candidate statement (300 words maximum)
- A headshot
Nominees must:
- Hold active AAEM membership or AAEM/RSA membership for the 2026 membership cycle
- Hold active membership in the relevant Chapter Division or Section for the 2026 membership cycle
- Submit all required nomination materials
Leadership roles require active participation, consistent contribution, and alignment with the mission of the organization.
After nominations close on January 12, 2026 at 11:59 pm CT, all submissions will be reviewed for eligibility. Eligible nominees will be contacted with next steps and may be asked to confirm details or provide additional information.
The election period will run from February 20, 2026 to March 13, 2026. Newly elected leaders will take office during the AAEM Scientific Assembly, held April 11 to 15, 2026 in Seattle, Washington.
