Train the Way You’ll Be Tested
One of the best ways to prepare is to practice, receive feedback, and try again.
With AAEM’s Certifying Exam Review Course you’ll take two mock exams in one day. After your first run through, our faculty will provide personalized feedback that you can apply right away during your second simulated exam.
It’s an opportunity to adjust your approach, build confidence, and see immediate improvement before the day is done.
Before taking the exam, ask yourself:
- Have I practiced making decisions while being timed, observed, and interrupted?
- Have I practiced verbalizing clinical reasoning in real time?
- Have I practiced adapting my management plan when new information changes the scenario?
- Have I practiced prioritizing and communicating clearly while managing an evolving case?
- Have I practiced difficult patient or family conversations in a structured exam setting?
If you hesitated on one or more of these, you’re not alone. Many candidates are studying for the exam, but not practicing for it. We can help with that.

Why Physicians Choose AAEM’s Course
For years, AAEM has helped thousands of emergency physicians pass the ABEM Oral Boards through realistic, simulation-based training built around how the exam actually works.
AAEM has adapted that same trusted approach to align with ABEM’s new Certifying Exam format, ensuring candidates experience the pressure, pacing, and communication demands of exam day before it counts.
When the stakes are this high, experience matters.
There are many ways to study for the Certifying Exam, but few opportunities to actually practice it.
Question banks, study apps, and virtual review courses can be valuable tools for learning content, but passing the Certifying Exam requires more than medical knowledge.
