Starting in 2024, the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) has solidified a partnership with The World Academic Council of Emergency Medicine (WACEM) which has enabled us to be an endorsing organization of their World Academic Congress of Emergency Medicine.
AAEM members can now participate in an international AAEM conference every year, with the World Congress held in even years and AAEM’s Mediterranean Emergency Medicine Congress (MEMC) in odd years.
AAEM invites all its members to participate in the Xth World Academic Congress of Emergency Medicine, to be held in Rome, Italy, from 6th to 9th November 2024.

Call for Abstracts
AAEM invites all members to showcase their research and expertise at the upcoming World Academic Congress of Emergency Medicine (WACEM) 2024. This is an excellent opportunity to share your work with a global audience of emergency medicine physicians and contribute to the advancement of the field.
Presentations must be original and must include either data, case studies, and/or presenter experiences. The WACEM Scientific Committee will select oral presentations based on the grading of the abstracts.
Key Deadlines:
- Oral and Poster Abstract Submission: August 15, 2024
- Oral and Poster Abstract Acceptance: August 31, 2024
