JEDI-AAEM wants you to succeed and have fun on your emergency medicine rotation! JEDI-AAEM also knows that there are a lot of great core EM FOMED out there already to help you. What we have done is taken all of the core EM topics you need to know to succeed on your EM rotation but presented them through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion with particular attention to social drivers of health. For example, it is great to know how to run a trauma (and we will go over that) but also important to know that trauma patients whose preferred language is not English are intubated at a higher rate (and for less severe injuries) than those who prefer English.
Through lectures ranging from clinical decision making, resident mental health, ultrasound, and trauma to how to apply to EM residency, we have brought experts from across the country to give you the tools to advocate for yourself and your patients!
