The AAEM21 Call for Educational Proposals closed. Please see the Program page for this year’s educational content. If you would like to speak at AAEM22, the Call for Educational Proposals portal will open in summer 2021.


How do I register for Scientific Assembly? 

Once it is live, there are three ways to register for the Scientific Assembly:

1. Online:
Visit the website for online registration.

2. By Mail:
Complete the registration form and mail with payment to:

What are the COVID-19 safety protocols in place for this meeting?

AAEM is working to ensure the safety and well-being of attendees at Scientific Assembly. We look forward to everyone having an enjoyable, educational, and safe experience. In preparation, AAEM and the hotel will provide additional hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue. Entry into the queue lines for registration will be regulated to allow for physical distancing. You will find markers throughout the queue lines to help you maintain physical distancing. Physical distancing is strongly encouraged and floor decals throughout will help guests to gauge their distance.

Do I need to sign up for each track that I plan to attend? 

Educational plenary, keynote and concurrent sessions at AAEM’s Scientific Assembly are open to anyone and do not require advanced registration. Participation in Small Group Clinic and the Medical Student Session and post-conference sessions require separate registration.


Can attendees receive CME credit for the Assembly? 

Yes, AAEM is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and CME credits are available for the Scientific Assembly through an online self-report system. Registered participants will receive more information immediately following the conference.

How and when do I get my CME Certificate or Certificate of Attendance? 

CME certificates and Certificates of Attendance are available to Scientific Assembly attendees through a self-report system. An email will be sent to registered attendees within 30 days of the last day of the conference. You can access the site with your member’s only log in account to download, save or print your CME certificate or Certificate of Attendance. Please ensure you login to your member’s only account and update your email address to ensure receipt of the broadcast email. In July, participants will also be able to request a certificate on the CME webpage.

Claim CME Onsite *NEW for AAEM21*
Pre-registered attendees can claim CME credits at Scientific Assembly on their mobile devices. Onsite registrants will receive a link via email to claim CME within 30 days after the conference. Don’t want to wait 30 days to claim CME? Register for AAEM21 online before June 18, 2021!

What forms of payment are accepted for registration? 

AAEM accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, personal checks, or corporate checks.


As an AAEM member, when will my deposit be refunded? 

Scientific Assembly registration deposits will be refunded within 30 days of the final day of the meeting. Deposits will be refunded for members unless you opt to donate to the LEAD-EM Kevin G. Rodgers Fund, the AAEM Foundation, or the AAEM PAC by checking the option during registration or by filling out a donation form during the conference. Deposits paid by credit card will be automatically credited to the same account number. Deposits paid by check will be paid by check, made payable to the institution or person issuing the original deposit.


How many attendees go to the meeting? 

Approximately 1,200.
