Get Paid to Learn: Volunteer as an Ultrasound Model

Want a front-row seat to expert ultrasound instruction — and get paid for it? Volunteer as an ultrasound model during the AAEM26 Scientific Assembly and help make our hands-on courses possible. No prior experience is required — just curiosity, professionalism, and a willingness to be scanned in a learning environment.

By serving as a model, you’ll play a key role in supporting emergency medicine education while observing real-time ultrasound demonstrations led by expert faculty. It’s one of the most unique ways to learn at the conference — and you’ll receive a modest stipend for your time.

What to Expect

• You’ll join a small, guided session where participants practice ultrasound scanning techniques.
• Models remain fully clothed; scanning focuses on the abdomen, neck, and extremities.
• Each session lasts about 60–90 minutes and is supervised by experienced faculty.
• You’ll receive your stipend after your session concludes.
• All sessions take place in a professional, respectful learning environment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must complete a W-9 (U.S. citizens/residents) or W-8BEN (non-U.S. residents) for stipend payment.
• Willingness to be scanned in an educational group setting.
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the abdomen, neck, and extremities.
