How do I register for AAEM26?

Online registration for the American Academy of Emergency Medicine’s 32nd Annual Scientific Assembly (AAEM26) will open in mid-to-late October. When registration opens, the AAEM26 website homepage will be updated, and details will be announced via email and social media.

Do AAEM and AAEM/RSA members need to register?

Yes, registration is a requirement for all AAEM and AAEM/RSA members wishing to attend the Scientific Assembly. This process includes a registration fee for all member categories. Resident and student members will continue to enjoy a refundable deposit arrangement (refunds issued after attendance is recorded at AAEM26).

Resident and student members will continue to enjoy a refundable deposit arrangement. Additionally, residents and students will be automatically registered as AAEM/RSA members for the 2026-2027 membership year (pending eligibility).

Can I purchase a one-day pass?

Unfortunately, one-day passes are not available for the Scientific Assembly. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive experience, allowing attendees to immerse themselves fully in the entirety of the event, including all sessions, activities, and networking opportunities.

Why is there a registration fee for members to attend AAEM26?

The registration fee for AAEM’s Scientific Assembly is fundamental in upholding the event’s quality and sustainability. Funds generated are strategically reinvested to enrich educational and professional development opportunities. This approach guarantees that attendees receive an enhanced and superior experience each year.

What payment forms are accepted?

AAEM accepts a variety of payment methods, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Personal and corporate checks and cash payments can be made during registration onsite at the event.

How many people attend AAEM's Scientific Assembly?

Approximately 1,400 people attend AAEM’s Scientific Assembly each year.

What does the AAEM26 registration fee cover?

Your registration for AAEM26 grants you comprehensive access to the 32nd Annual Scientific Assembly. This includes participation in CME activities, award presentations, and various competitions. Additionally, you’ll enjoy networking social activities (some exclusions may apply) and access to recorded educational content post-event for a holistic experience.

What does the guest registration include?

Guest registration is intended for family members, spouses, and individuals not engaged in medical, nursing, or related professions. Guests are welcome at non-ticketed social events during the Scientific Assembly. They must wear the event-provided name badge at all times. Please note that guests cannot attend activities requiring separate registration, such as some social events, small group clinic sessions, and educational add-ons.

Will the AAEM26 sessions be live-streamed?

To prioritize in-person interaction and engagement, AAEM26 sessions will not be live-streamed. However, to accommodate those who cannot attend in person, recorded educational content will be made available on AAEM CME Online approximately 90 days after the conference.

Availability of Recorded Sessions from AAEM26

Post-conference, you can access the recorded AAEM26 sessions on AAEM CME Online. These resources come with the added benefit of CME claiming eligibility for up to three years, providing you with extended learning opportunities well after the event concludes.

Policies & Procedures
Refund Policy for AAEM26

For cancellations, formal written refund requests must be made at least 30 days prior to AAEM26 to (info email). A $50 processing fee is applied to all cancellations. Refunds are processed within 30 days after the conference concludes. No refunds are available for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to April 11th, except in extenuating circumstances. For such exceptions, a written request via email is required within 15 days post-conference.

Programs, Scheduling, & CME/CE Credits
Are non-CME programs available at AAEM26?

Yes, attendees can enjoy non-CME commercial presentations and promotional sessions during breakfast, lunch, and after educational programming.

When will the full AAEM26 program schedule be released?

The complete schedule will be available in January/February 2026.

What is an Add-on Course?

In addition to the standard sessions, AAEM26 offers a range of Add-on Courses (previously known as pre-conference courses) designed to enhance your learning experience. These courses are an excellent opportunity to increase your total CME credits and receive specialized instruction from experts in the field. Designed to complement the main Scientific Assembly, these sessions delve deeper into specific areas of emergency medicine, offering hands-on experiences and in-depth discussions.

Be sure to add your Add-on Courses when you register for the Scientific Assembly to make the most of this unique educational opportunity!

How do I know which sessions I'm registered for?

Most sessions are available on a first-come, first-served basis without the need for advance registration. However, certain Add-on Courses and networking/social events may require specific registration.

How do I modify my session selections?

A confirmation email will be sent after registration is completed. Within this email will be instructions on how to log back into the portal to update your registration. If you have any issues, please contact Lindsay Cox or call 1-800-884-2236.

What is the total number of CME/CE credits offered?

Up to 18.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TMare available.

How can I claim my CME/CE credits?

CME Certificates and Certificates of Attendance are available through a self-report system. Pre-registered and onsite attendees can claim credits at the Scientific Assembly within thirty days after the conference’s completion. Registrants will receive a link via email post-conference to claim credits.

Are there volunteer opportunities?

Medical students can apply to be a Medical Student Ambassador, and adult ultrasound models are needed.

Beware: Unofficial Vendor List Providers / Mailing Lists / Housing / Registration Portals

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Some companies may claim to be associated with AAEM. However, the only process for registering for the conference will be through www.aaem.org/aaem26/attendee/register and AAEM is the only authorized provider for the attendee mailing list. DO NOT REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE OR PURCHASE A LIST RENTAL WITH OTHER OPERATORS. AAEM does not accept responsibility for any losses that result from unofficial vendors or websites.

Beware: Fraudulent Registration Companies!

The official Scientific Assembly website will be https://www.aaem.org/aaem26/ and you will only be able to register for the Scientific Assembly through this link: www.aaem.org/aaem26/attendee/register.

AAEM does not add additional fees to the standard registration rate, such as VAT or service fees. Fraudulent companies often use email addresses or websites that contain “AAEM” in them such as AAEM@2026conference.com and info@26aaem.com. Do not reply to these companies. Prevent being the victim of Cyber Crime – be suspicious of emails that appear to be coming from AAEM asking for additional payments.
