Course Description

Taking the ConCertTM Exam or the Qualifying Exam is an incredibly stressful experience, especially in the days leading up to the exam. To alleviate any remaining anxiety and review high-yield topics and pearls for the exam, the American Academy of Emergency Medicine is pleased to offer this intense two-day boot camp. World-class faculty will cover the content you can expect to see on the exam. No fluff, anecdotes, or esoteric material — just the content you need to know!

 

Credit Designation Statement

The American Academy of Emergency Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 15.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe common hematologic & oncologic emergencies, environmental disorders, neurotrauma cases, musculoskeletal emergency presentations, renal & urogenital disorders, cutaneous disorders, and pediatric disorders.
  2. Identify the clinical presentation and discuss systemic infectious diseases, abdominal and gastrointestinal disorders, traumatic disorders, cardiovascular board topics, dermatologic emergencies and toxicology board topics.
  3. Outline complications and management of endocrine/metabolic disorders, HEENT board topics, thoracic and respiratory disorders, obstetrics/gynecology emergencies and electrocardiography board topics.
  4. Evaluate their progress throughout the course and apply the knowledge gained in the course to better prepare them for the written ABEM or AOBEM certification or recertification exam.
