25th Annual Scientific Assembly

Scientific Assembly Planning and Committee Input Policy

  1. Committees also have the opportunity to make recommendations to the Scientific Assembly Planning Subcommittee through the established web-based process whereby any AAEM member can submit a speaker’s name and or suggest a topic/track. Committee Chairs may also directly contact the Scientific Assembly Planning Subcommittee Chairs to make recommendations. These recommendations must be submitted in a timely manner to allow the Scientific Assembly Planning Sub-Committee adequate time to consider and develop such recommendations.

  2. The Scientific Assembly Planning Subcommittee Track Chairs will contact the pertinent Committee Chairs for input on track/topic development and speaker recommendations. However, the final decision on tracks/topics/speakers lies with the Scientific Assembly Planning Subcommittee and there is no guarantee that Committee recommendations will be implemented.

  3. The Scientific Assembly Planning Subcommittee has responsibility for planning both pre-conference and Scientific Assembly tracks/topics and the selection of speakers.

  4. The BOD maintains the overall responsibility for approving the final program for the annual Scientific Assembly based on recommendations from the Education Committee and specifically the Scientific Assembly Planning Subcommittee.
