On-Site Details

Make the Registration Desk your first stop!

Check-in at the AAEM Registration Desk located on the Lobby Level of Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina in the north tower. Pick up your registration bag, final program, and attendee name badge. AAEM staff will be on hand to answer any questions. Check-in early and beat the rush!

AAEM18 educational sessions, exhibit hall, registration desk & member center are located on the Lobby Level and Level One of the Marriott. Wellness and Social Events will be held at specified locations on-site, see the AAEM18 mobile app for full details.

The 24th Annual Scientific Assembly kicks off with Opening Remarks at 12:45pm in Salon 3-4 on Sunday, April 8th.

 


Conference Notes

  • Wi-Fi will be available! In the meeting space, please use the AAEM Scientific Assembly network, password: AAEM2018.
  • Conference attire: Business casual. Please bring a light jacket or sweater as temperatures may adjust in meeting rooms. Comfortable footwear is recommended.
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner are on your own; most venues are easily accessible by foot.

Selected Lectures will be Available on AAEM Online

Many lectures will be recorded and included on AAEM Online. All sessions being recorded are denoted by a (•REC) in the final program. Look for these lectures and featured Pecha Kucha talks to be posted online this summer. Members may watch, listen, download for FREE! AAEM15, AAEM16, and AAEM17 are currently available. The leadership of AAEM-PG will be onsite at AAEM18, ready to answer your questions, provide more information, and work one-on-one to take the next step. Remembering Dr. Kevin G. Rodgers

The Rodgers family will accept the David K. Wagner Award and Master of AAEM Awards in Dr. Rodgers' honor. AAEM will announce the formation of the The AAEM Institute for Leadership, Education & Advancement in the Development of Emergency Medicine, Inc. (LEAD-EM).

Celebration of Life

AAEM invites you to attend a Celebration of Life in honor of Dr. Kevin Rodgers. This memorial is an opportunity for the EM community to come together for a time of remembrance of our late president, friend, and mentor. During the Celebration of Life, friends and colleagues will share memories of Dr. Rodgers and all attendees are invited to add an entry to a memory book for the Rodgers family.

We hope that you will find AAEM18 to be an engaging meeting and come away with both increased clinical knowledge and lasting connections. To enhance those connections, we invite you to meet fellow first-time attendees, AAEM leadership, and AAEM18 educational planners at an informal meet-up prior to the start of the conference.

This is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with the AAEM18 meeting, learn about all of the social and educational events, network with fellow first-timers, and ask any questions you may have. See you there!

Your Chance to Win - Passport to Prizes

Look for your passport book in your name-badge onsite!

All conference attendees will receive a passport book in their registration materials onsite. Visit all participating exhibitors in the exhibit hall April 8-10, 2018 to fill your passport with verification stickers.

After you’ve collected all stickers, drop off your completed passport book at the AAEM registration desk. Passport books turned in prior to the daily drawing will be eligible for a series of prize drawings over the course of the assembly.

Participants are eligible for all drawings, until their book is drawn; only one prize per participant. Winners will be directed to the designated exhibit booth to collect their prize.

14 days following the conclusion of Scientific Assembly you will be sent an email with an online link to report your CME information. Following the completion of that form, you will be able to print your certificate. View instructions for DOs.
