Support Medical Liability Reform in New York State.

The State of New York is considering a $50,000 surcharge on all licensed physicians. If we fail to address in meaningful ways the failing civil justice system, access to patient care will be increasingly jeopardized. With physicians continuing to be squeezed between rapidly rising liability premiums and reduced payor reimbursement, meaningful liability reform is essential. Please contact your New York state legislators to let them know of your concerns with the increasingly unaffordable cost of liability insurance and urge your support for comprehensive reform legislation.
