Election Results and First Newsletter

FLAAEM held a Board of Director's meeting at the AAEM Scientific Assembly in San Francisco. The Board approved the appointment of Alex Ho as student section representative and John Im as resident section representative. They will be focusing on recruiting new members and coordinating education/informational activities for their section membership. Aryeh Pessah was re-elected to the Board as a Director. The number of Director positions was decreased from four to two, leaving one open position.

The first FLAAM newsletter was distributed to our membership, along with dues renewal forms. The newsletter contains several articles written by the executive committee members, and the student section representative. The newsletter also featured our new logo.

Robert McNamara, Immediate Past President of AAEM addressed the Mount Sinai Hospital EM residents in Miami on April 17.
