FREE Preconference EKG Course

  • 1:00pm-5:00pm: We invite all residents to join us for the "So You Think You Can Interpret an EKG?" preconference course with Susan Torrey, MD FAAEM FREE of charge! All attendees must register for this course to reserve a spot. Residents interested in attending additional educational sessions must also register for the General Assembly. Registration is free for members with refundable deposit.

AAEM/JEM Resident and Student Research Competition

  • 3:35pm-6:00pm: This competition is designed to recognize outstanding research achievements by residents and students in emergency medicine. Come and see projects by your peers! Learn more.

Opening Reception

  • 6:00pm-7:00pm: Enjoy light hors d'oeurves and drinks while networking with colleagues and exhibitors.

Open Mic Competition

  • 8:00am-5:25pm: AAEM will again feature the Open Mic Session, which is a unique opportunity for attendees who have always wanted to speak at a national meeting. Throughout the day, 16 speakers will present on a topic of their choosing. Eight of the slots will feature residents and young physicians - stop by to hear new voices in EM!

AAEM/RSA Career Connections Fair

  • 6:00pm-8:00pm: Residents attending Scientific Assembly will now have new opportunities to make valuable connections, as AAEM/RSA will host a Career Connections Fair. Employers and job seekers will now be able to connect face-to-face and open doors to a wealth of possibilities. Check back! More information coming soon.
