Updated Brochures Sent to Hospital Administrators

As part of its commitment to promoting the importance of board certification in Emergency Medicine, AAEM recently updated its brochure, "Is Your Emergency Department Staffed with Board Certified Emergency Physicians?" and sent them to a list of hospital administrators from across the country.

The brochure is designed to raise awareness among hospital administrators to the issues surrounding board certification. It includes an overview of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the steps they have designed to certify physicians as specialists in Emergency Medicine. It also discusses how administrators can verify whether or not a physician is board certified, and talks about the stand AAEM has taken for the future of the specialty.
