Course Description

This course is designed to provide the experienced emergency physician with an evidence-based review course for all of the required readings for the 2015 LLSA Review. Course content will be discussed both via PowerPoint® and through small group discussion on key topics for each mandated journal article.

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss current literature of cardiac emergencies related to the 2015 LLSA readings.
  2. Review accidental hypothermia.
  3. Identify key areas in lean thinking in emergency departments.
  4. Discuss analgesia for procedures and pediatric pain management related to the 2015 LLSA readings.
  5. Review new oral anticoagulants in the ED setting.
